Home Tune-Up Workshop, Valentine NSW
Draughty, damp, too hot or too cold? Your home is telling you something. Home Tune-Up is a practical community workshop for homeowners and renters around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie who want a more comfortable, healthier, climate-ready home and aren't sure where to start.
When: Sunday 15 November 2026, 10:00am to 11:30am
Where: Valentine Community Hall, 20 Allambee Place, Valentine NSW 2280
Tickets: $5 per person (helps cover hall hire). Spots are limited.
What we'll cover
- Read the signs. Draughts, damp, mould, and hot or cold rooms, and what each one is telling you.
- Easy, affordable fixes. Draught sealing, window coverings, shading and ventilation you can start this summer, including options for renters.
- Smarter home systems. Heating, cooling, hot water and energy plans: what's worth upgrading, and when.
- Your next best step. Walk away with a simple, prioritised plan for your own home.
- Beyond the house. Everyday ways to live more sustainably at home.
Who it's for
Homeowners, renters and landlords. You don't need any building knowledge. If one room is always cold, or the windows drip every winter, you'll fit right in.
Presented by Living Home and the Valentine Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group, with the Sustainable Neighbourhood Alliance Lake Macquarie.
